On 4 June 2024, we organised our first Laborama Life Science Day: a one-day conference with a comprehensive conference programme combined with a networking area where visitors, suppliers and specialists could interact.
The daily programme, with 11 speakers, consisted of half a day focused on cell and gene therapy and half a day dedicated to single cell/-omics (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics).
The Life Science Day took place at Technopolis, Mechelen.
The MAS in Antwerp was the venue for our General Meeting & Networking event on 16 May.
After the welcome and General Assembly, Alcimed - for 20 years the partner of CIFL, France) presented the results of the market study that Laborama commissioned from them. The market study highlights the Belgian and Luxembourg market in 5 segments of the laboratory market: Pharma-Biotech, Academics, Chemistry-Materials, Agri-Agro and Environment. This study is free of charge for our members. As a member, you can obtain it on simple request.
The evening was closed by Jeroen Baert - known from Nerdland Monthly Review, among others. During his AIlzing, he answered questions such as: What is Artificial Intelligence yes and no? What is generative AI? How do neural networks, ChatGPT and Dall-E work? What are the strengths, weaknesses and limits of these tools? How will AI impact our society and the way we work and gather information? What does the future of AI look like? How can I use AI usefully now, as an individual and company?
During Jeroen Baert's AI presentation at our Network Event, Jeroen created 2 songs for us. A 90s pop song and also a Happy pop song in the context of the Eurovision Song Contest. We don't want to deny you both top discs. You can list them here or download them.
